
Service Learning & Coastal Heritage
This 10–12 day service learning program is based in the coastal town of Senya Beraku, Ghana, combining school-based volunteering with community outreach and powerful visits to historic sites. Students live with a host family or volunteer house, contribute to a local charitable school, and explore the region’s culture, festivals, and Atlantic coastline.

Program Details:
Duration: Around 10–12 days (including weekends and travel days)
Base location: Host family / volunteer house in Senya Beraku, 5 minutes’ walk from the partner school.
Core activities:
Volunteering at a community school: supporting basic subjects such as maths, creative arts, computing, and science.
Assisting with classroom and school infrastructure: painting, simple construction, library and fence-wall improvements, and general campus upkeep.
Supporting teachers with play-based learning, mealtimes, and wellbeing of younger children.
Community outreach days with local staff in nearby villages.
